1/29/2021

The Federal Government has announced that failure to wear a face mask in public is now considered an offence under recently introduced public health regulations.
President Muhammadu Buhari approved the measure as part of efforts to strengthen compliance with COVID-19 prevention protocols and curb the spread of the virus.
Authorities said the directive is aimed at protecting public health and ensuring collective responsibility in reducing transmission risks.
The government also urged Nigerians to wear face masks in public spaces, noting that the practice remains an important preventive measure to protect both individuals and the wider community.
