Citizens Health Initiative Nigeria (CHIN), has been officially launched with a mission to promote better health outcomes for all Nigerians, advocate for meaningful health reforms, and strengthen community-level healthcare systems across the country.

Founded by May Ubeku, CHIN was born out of the belief that quality healthcare is not a privilege, it is a right. The organization will work directly with communities, policymakers, and stakeholders to close the gaps that continue to undermine health equity in Nigeria. As Ubeku aptly stated, "Every Nigerian deserves access to quality, affordable healthcare. We are here to bridge the gap between policy and the people it is meant to serve." This vision underscores CHIN's commitment to transforming the healthcare landscape in Nigeria.

CHIN’s mission encompasses several strategic focus areas that are critical for improving healthcare standards across the country. These areas include, Health Promotion, policy Advocacy, Community Health capacity building.

Through these dedicated efforts, CHIN aspires to act as a catalyst for change, leveraging community involvement and policy reform to achieve better health outcomes. By fostering collaboration among individuals, organizations, and partners who share a common vision, CHIN invites all stakeholders to join this critical movement.
